What size are the trees?

From 50 to 90 cm.

Where does CO₂R deliver the trees?

CO2R makes a single delivery at the location chosen by the school or the organization that is responsible for the fundraising campaign.

What is a sponsored tree?

It is a tree that is planted in a controlled environment with a minimum 15-year growth guaranty.

Where will the sponsored trees be planted?

The trees will be planted in Québec, in designated locations, where they will be kept and maintained. We are currently negotiating with cities and government agencies, seeking to obtain permission to plant these trees in designated fields, thus ensuring their preservation for a minimum of 15 years.

How are the plantations monitored over time?

Thanks to applications like Google, anyone can monitor the evolution of the trees in our plantations.

Why plant a tree to cancel out the corresponding carbon emissions?

Vegetation consumes carbon. The disappearance of forests is one of the main reasons for global warming. Without forests, carbon will continue to accumulate in the atmosphere and as a result the greenhouse effect will increase.

How do we calculate carbon emissions?

It is the equivalent of what one person consumes in carbon, either for lighting, traveling, or heating purposes. We calculate the average carbon expense in everyday life, i.e. on the road and at home. For example, a fuel-efficient automobile consumes approximately one tonne of CO2 every year. And one tonne of carbon emission will be cancelled by 5 trees planted in an urban environment, where they will remain for at least 15 years.

How can the carbon neutral certification be obtained?

By buying an adequate number of trees to offset the emissions from your car and/or your home.

If a client counterbalances his emissions, according to Co2R emission calculations, he will receive a label that certifies the cancelling of emissions for each emission item that has been offset.
